Satanic Failure at the Kansas State Capitol on March 28, 2025

Michael Trenton Stewart is President of The Grotto Society and/or The Satanic Grotto which was recognized by the Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab on June 29, 2022, as a Not For Profit entity with a registered office at Stewart’s home at 18683 Linwood Road, Linwood, KS 66052. Travis Lee Roberts is its Vice President with a reported address at 2507 N 11th Terrace, Kansas City, KS 66109.[1]

In repeated vulgar and vile hate speech since on or about March 1, 2025, Stewart has indicated he is a satanist, posted numerous social media comments, and participated in television and radio interviews evidencing he was planning to blaspheme and desecrate the Catholic Church and all Christians at the Kansas State Capitol by celebrating a satanic Black Mass as ‘an expression of blaspheme and dedication to Satan.’[2][3]

From his repeated comments, it is clear that Stewart is an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian bigot who is clearly motivated entirely or in part by the religion or his belief or perception of the religion of his victims.[4]

Stewart, a registered Democrat, has a legal history of violent, unlawful, and threatening actions including:

Approximately one year ago, Stewart threatened to choke out and rape Trey Jadlow during a verbal assault at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Overland Park, Kansas. Because of these vile threats of violence, the Johnson County District Court placed a restraining order (an order of protection) on Michael Stewart as a result.[5]

In a lawsuit filed on March 14, 2025, by Catholic Archbishop Joseph Naumann, it is documented that Stewart has repeatedly stated that in this Black Mass The Grotto Society planned to desecrate a host and wine stolen from the Catholic Church. The case was dismissed without prejudice when Stewart testified under oath that the hosts and wine they plan to desecrate in the ritual are not ‘Catholic in origin.’[6]

On or about March 12 and 13, 2025, in multiple phone calls and texts, Stewart physically threatened Senator Jeff Klemp, a member of the Kansas Legislature. These messages were shared with and verified by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. As a result of these threats, on March 18, 2025, the bipartisan Legislative Coordinating Council of the Kansas Legislature unanimously adopted a policy prohibiting use of the Capitol Complex if an individual has made a verified threat “against the governor, a member of the Legislature or other public official.”

Following Stewart’s announcement of the State Capitol Black Mass, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas was attacked and vandalized with hate speech, including multiple satanic references, on or about March 14 and March 15, 2025. [7] The alleged perpetrator, Michael Angel Gonzalez of Salina, Kansas, has been charged by local prosecutors with burglary, criminal desecration, theft, and criminal damage to property of at least $25,000. The prosecutors allege that these offenses were likely motivated by the victim’s religion. Although this hate crime is currently under investigation by federal authorities, no federal charges have been filed.[8]

In response to Stewart’s announcement, numerous Catholic and other Christian groups initiated multiple petitions to Governor Laura Kelly and other political leaders demanding that the Black Mass be prohibited from the Capitol Complex. The largest among these was a petition by the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP).

A local petition was initiated by Karla Delgado, a Kansas mother eight months pregnant with their ninth child, who was horrified by the announced desecration. [9] In her petition, Delgado called on Governor Kelly, and specifically her Department of Administration, to revoke completely the satanists’ permit on the grounds that their event is designed with intent to violate policies for usage of the Statehouse and Capitol Complex. After multiple phone calls and personal visits to Secretary Adam Proffitt and Chief Counsel Pat Doran, the most recent being the morning of March 24th, 2025, the Kelly Administration made it clear they would allow Stewart and his followers to assemble outside the Capitol despite clear usage policies to the contrary.[10] Additionally, Delgado was reassured multiple times by Doran and others that if Stewart steps inside the Capitol that Stewart would be arrested immediately. In fact, Doran invited Delgado to visit the Capitol on March 28th and said to Delgado: “If you see anything, you should report it [to law enforcement]” and “If you want to visit with your children, it will be perfectly safe.”

In response to the pressure, on March 12, 2025, the Administration of Governor Laura Kelly was forced to withdraw their permission for a Black Mass inside the Capitol. Instead, they announced that the event would be moved to the outside the Capitol – but permitted to remain on Capitol grounds.

FACTS PRIOR TO MARCH 28, 2025

SATANIC VIOLENCE OUTSIDE THE CAPITOL ON MARCH 28, 2025

In events surrounding the attempted satanic Black Mass on Kansas State Capitol grounds on March 28, 2025, close to 2,000 Christians participated in on-site or nearby prayer services, rallies, adoration and Catholic masses.[11] The largest of these gatherings, a rally of reparation on the south steps of the Capitol, was organized by TFP and included 1,000 individuals who peacefully prayed and sang for more than two hours. Multiple other smaller prayer and praise assemblies occurred in various other locations outside on the Capitol grounds. On the satanist front, at most, fewer than twenty-five individuals gathered to desecrate the Eucharist and engage in hate speech against Catholics in particular and all Christians in general. Additionally, commanded by Capitol Police Lieutenant Greydon Walker, one hundred uniformed police officers, including a riot team, plus approximately fifty plainclothes officers, were present on the Capitol grounds.[12]

The true hero of the day is Catholic Randy Blasi – he is the man outside the east side of the Capitol who intervened during the satanic ritual being performed by satanist Stewart. Blasi is a humble man and wants no attention for his actions. But many people have asked for his account, and the author has visited directly with Blasi and is accurately communicating their phone conversation.

On Thursday, March 27, Blasi attended daily mass in his parish. He received spiritual counsel, special blessings, and permission from his parish priest to be travel to Topeka and, if necessary, allow himself to be used to protect the Eucharist. In addition to reception of the Eucharist, Blasi was permitted to consume holy water. Blasi then traveled to Topeka and spent all night in prayer at the Capitol, asking God to prepare him for whatever may occur.

The following morning, Friday, March 28, Blasi, leaning against a concrete pillar at the base of the east Capitol steps, was quietly stationed about fifteen feet north of the satanic ceremony. Despite being a big man, perhaps deflecting attention because of his long beard and casual manner, no one seemed to notice him – neither the satanists, nor law enforcement questioned him.

As the satanists began their blasphemous ceremony, Blasi was overcome with grief and continually repeated the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, a common prayer in the Catholic tradition.[13] He thought to himself again and again: “I’m just a worthless sinner. How could you use me, Lord?”

Near the end of the satanic ritual, Stewart announced that he had in his possession something very special, something that the Courts made him swear he did not have. And then he opened a special black cloth bag, and inside it was another zippered pouch. Stewart opened this pouch and within it was a small zip lock bag containing the concealed host.[14]

Anticipating something bad was about to happen, Blasi casually pulled a red handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped his brow. This was a pre-arranged signal to other Christians gathered behind Blasi to pray more fervently for God’s intervention. Stewart then finished reading his satanic incantations and blasphemy of Jesus, raised the host, and dropped it to the ground. As the host was dropped, Blasi ran forward from his position. He threw himself toward the host, and just at that time, the wind blew the host directly in front of Blasi and he quickly consumed the host off the cement. Simultaneously, Stewart’s boot pounded down and broke one small corner off the host. Blasi quickly then moved and consumed that piece of the host and licked the cement on which it lay.

After Blasi consumed the host, he quickly placed his hands around his head to protect himself and signal to law enforcement that he was in need of protection. In response to Blasi’s action, Stewart appeared to be initially confused. Quickly though, Stewart screamed “Assault!” and proceeded to attack the defenseless Blasi with four blows to the head and body as Blasi lay on the ground.[15] Blasi reports that he felt numerous hits to the back and the side of his head, likely from Stewart’s fists and/or boots.

Simultaneous to this, a female Satanist dressed as a witch and believed to be Jocelyn Krysteen Frazee, [16] who was holding the papers from which Stewart read the perverse Black mass ceremony, began shrieking “He’s saving it.” Frazee continued with “Hey, we’ve got trouble. Problem. Problem. Cops. Cops. Security. Security. Security.”

In response to Stewart’s and Frazee’s invitation, a third satanist, Sean Sterling Anderson, with his face disguised by a bandana and wearing a large white jersey emblazoned with ‘GROTTO’ on the back, then rushed in, and slammed Blasi up and down on the cement. Anderson then drug Blasi approximately five feet before law enforcement finally intervened, removed Anderson from his position on top of Blasi, and ended the assaults by Stewart and Anderson. Throughout these events, Frazee, Stewart and others in the satanic crowd repeatedly screamed both “Hail, Satan!” and “F*** you!”

During these violent attacks of Blasi by Stewart and Anderson, an eyewitness to the incident, Richard Mahoney, yelled “They are beating him! They are beating him!” Mahoney then ran around the barricades and was refrained by law enforcement from protecting Blasi. One unidentified law enforcement officer responded to Mahoney’s pleas with “He [Blasi] shouldn’t have been there – he [Blasi] deserved it!” Finally, more than 30 seconds after the initial flurry of violent assaults upon Blasi by Stewart and Anderson, officers intervened to protect Blasi who still lay motionless on the cement with his hands covering his head.[17]

Following this violence upon Blasi, both Blasi and Stewart were separately detained and handcuffed. Law enforcement then walked Blasi into the Capitol, likely through the east doors on the First Floor, down the steps into the Visitor Center, and placed Blasi in a room within the Visitor Center under the protection of a separate law enforcement contingent. These officers then took photos of Blasi’s injuries and a medic provided care for his scratches and bruises. Law enforcement asked if Blasi was going to press charges. Fearing for the safety of his wife and young child, and not desiring any publicity for himself, Blasi indicated that he was not intending to press charges.[18]

Shortly thereafter, a separate law enforcement contingent escorted Stewart into the same room where Blasi was being detained. Stewart was then placed directly beside Blasi for a period of time until both Blasi and Stewart were released from detainment.

After his release, Blasi left the Capitol and proceeded to his car. As he walked, he noticed a woman trying also to navigate the parked cars and traffic next to the Capitol. Noticing she was pregnant, Blasi asked how far along she was in her pregnancy. The woman responded that she was about two months pregnant with her sixteenth child and that she was distraught with grief that our Lord has been profaned. Blasi assured her that he had personal knowledge that was not the case. The woman was quite relieved and shared that she had been fervently praying that the Lord would miraculously use the wind to subvert the Black Mass. Indeed, it had.

Since these events, Blasi has fervently prayed two separate prayers: one for the conversion of Stewart[19] and another for what he believes are true heroes among the faithful.[20] He encourages all Christians offer these prayers.

Additionally, in reviewing photos of these events, Blasi grew concerned on April 1, 2025, that perhaps he had not consumed the entirety of the host. In response, photos of the area on the east side of the Capitol where the Black Mass was attempted were taken that day by an attendee at the noon mass at Mater Dei Assumption Parish. The white spots were thankfully determined to be concrete stains, not pieces of the host.

While being detained by law enforcement after the events outside the Capitol, Stewart was reportedly asked by law enforcement if he was going to perform any ceremony inside the Capitol. Even though Stewart had just performed a satanic ceremony outside the Capitol in the presence of multiple law enforcement, Stewart swore he would not perform another satanic ritual inside. He was then released by law enforcement, gathered his satanic followers, walked through the basement and up the steps into the 1st Floor of the Capitol, and headed to the 1st Floor Rotunda in the middle of the Capitol. As soon as he arrived at the spot, with hordes of media recording and streaming his blasphemy, Stewart again began shouting the words of the satanic ceremony, in direct contravention of State Capitol policies, and without any response by law enforcement.

Earlier that morning, reassured by promises and the personal invitation of Doran, Delgado, her husband and three of their children had embarked on a visit to the Capitol. Parking in the Capitol garage at about 10:30 a.m., they gathered their packed lunches, proceeded to tour the Capitol, and enjoyed the art and history of the building. Taking a break on a first floor bench, the family was interrupted as Blasi was quietly and quickly escorted in through the east door of the Capitol and down the stairs. Assuming Blasi was a satanist because of dark shirt, Delgado thought to herself: “The police are doing their job. They must be arresting a satanist.”

Unfortunately, at 11:31 a.m., just as Delgado was taking a photograph of the mural “The Coming of the Spaniards,” she was jolted by loud screaming from the Capitol basement. Shortly thereafter, followed by camera crews and fellow satanists, Stewart rushed up the stairs to the center of Rotunda. Recalling Doran’s directive to report anything she saw to law enforcement, Delgado pointed to law enforcement and said: “He can’t do this. Arrest him.” Instead of intervening though, law enforcement responded by moving further away from Stewart and closer to the walls. Before realizing that law enforcement had no plans to stop Stewart, Delgado and her husband ended up in front of Stewart as he loudly read the satanic words from the paper Stewart was holding. Delgado closed her eyes and began to pray, not knowing that their four-year-old daughter had left the bench where she was seated and was right behind Delgado.

Delgado also reports that during these incidents, she spotted Chief Counsel Doran inside the Capitol watching as he drank a cup of coffee. Delgado also believes she saw Secretary Proffitt there watching as well. There is no evidence that either Doran or Proffitt intervened, despite their assurances to Delgado that citizen safety would be protected.

Another man, Marcus Schroeder, was also present as Stewart began his satanic blasphemies. Noticing Delgado and her daughter, and fearing for their safety, Schroeder then attempted to grab the satanic papers from which Stewart was reading. The first attempt was unsuccessful, but Schroeder’s second reach successfully interrupted the incantations. Stewart then turned, punched Schroeder once in the face, and then rushed at Schroeder and punched him in the face a second time. In so doing, Stewart trampled Delgado’s small young daughter to the hard floor.[21][22]After this happened, Schroeder fell to the floor from Stewart’s assault and Stewart was taken to the Capitol floor and restrained by law enforcement.[23]

After the assault by Stewart, Schroeder was not initially detained by law enforcement. But later, according to Schroeder, law enforcement returned to ‘question’ him, get a ‘written statement,’ and took Schroeder away to a private room in the Capitol. Brooklyn Schroeder, Marcus’ pregnant wife, was upset by the incident and asked law enforcement repeatedly: “Where are you taking my husband?” Her pleas for information were ignored by law enforcement.

An estimated thirty minutes after the incident inside the Capitol, Huelskamp visited with Brooklyn Schroeder outside the Visitor Entrance, who found her still highly emotional, and learned that she still had not been informed as to where they were transporting her husband. Denise Meirowsky, who was there to visit the Capitol and trained in the care of pregnant women, noticing Mrs. Schroeder’s advanced pregnancy and state of agitation, offered her water, and proceeded to calm her down. It is uncertain how and when Brooklyn was informed of her husband’s location.

Sometime later, the assailant Stewart and the victim Schroeder were transported to the Shawnee County Adult Detention Center. Schroeder was charged with ‘unlawful assembly’ with a $1,000 bond.[24] According to a phone conversation with Tony Barton, Schroeder was released from jail on his personal recognizance late Friday evening.

Shockingly, despite four violent punches to the back of Blasi’s head outside the Capitol and two violent punches to Schroeder’s face inside the Capitol, Stewart was only charged with ‘unlawful assembly’ and ‘disorderly conduct.’ It is clear from video evidence that, in the presence of law enforcement, Stewart had assaulted two separate individuals that day (first Blasi outside the Capitol and then Schroeder inside the Capitol), but no charges of ‘assault’ have been filed at this time.[25] Stewart posted cash bond and was released sometime on Friday.

Accompanying Stewart through the Capitol were the two other satanists, Anderson, who had assaulted Blasi outside the Capitol, and Frazee, who was observed screaming during the outside Black Mass. Once Stewart was arrested, Anderson and Frazee returned to the center of the 1st Floor Rotunda and again began the satanic blasphemy. Both Anderson and Frazee were then arrested on charges of ‘unlawful assembly’ and taken to the Shawnee County Adult Detention Center. Anderson posted cash bond and was released sometime on Friday; Frazee was held for an unknown period of time for positive identification.[26]

Following the conclusion of these Black Mass incidents, during the afternoon of March 28, 2025, a Catholic priest privately offered various Catholic prayers of exorcism throughout the Capitol.

SATANIC VIOLENCE INSIDE THE CAPITOL ON MARCH 28, 2025

[2] In response to a lawsuit filed by Archbishop Naumann in Leavenworth County on March 14, 2025 (Case No. LV-2025-CV-000078), Michael Stewart denied stealing a consecrated host, but admits to various blasphemous hate speech in court on March 20, 2025.

[3] Here is the Facebook invitation from Stewart and The Grotto Society: “Join us at the Topeka Capitol building in Kansas as we dedicate the grounds and our legislature to the glory of Satan. We will be performing rites to the Black Mass and indulging in sacrilegious blaspheme. God will fall and Kansas will be embraced by the black flame of Lucifer." A promotional flyer for the Black Mass posted on Reddit lists the “components” of the ritual, which include the “Denounciation [sic] of Christ,” the “Desecration of the Eucharist,” and the “Corruption of the Blood.””

[7] Michael Angel Gonzalez of Salina, Kansas has been arrested for allegedly committing this hate vandalism. As of today, Gonzalez has not been charged with hate crimes, nor has he been charged with what appears to be a clear violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. The FACE Act not only protects abortion centers; it also protects churches and other places of worship from violence. Unfortunately, during the Biden Administration, despite some five hundred attacks on Catholic churches and other institutions in the last five years, only a handful of FACE charges were filed. [8] In a personal phone conversation with Acting U.S. Attorney Dustin Slinkard on the morning of April 3, 2025, Huelskamp was told that the office is aware of the satanic vandalism but had no comment regarding any future charges.

[11] Nearby Catholic eucharistic adoration and mass were held in Mater Dei Assumption and St. Joseph Catholic Churches in Topeka. Not included in these counts are Catholic mass and adoration that were simultaneously held in Catholic cathedrals in Dodge City, Wichita, and Salina on March 28, 2025.

[12] Except for the plainclothes officers, actual counts on Capitol grounds were performed by Dr. Dave Depue who observed these events from inside the Capitol on the evening of March 27 and the day of March 28, 2025. He was assisted in the counts of the satanists by Capitol Police. Tim Huelskamp participated in the largest rally of day and stood on the south steps throughout the rally and counted the crowd.

[13] This prayer, a powerful invocation in the Catholic tradition, was written Pope Leo XIII in 1886. It is often recited for protection against evil.

[14] The exact wording of Stewart is not available yet, as publicized videos to date are from the south side of the satanic gathering. The wind was blowing strongly out of the south, and videos from the north side of the satanists may have captured the entirety of Stewart’s words.

[18] In my personal conversation with Blasi, he repeatedly said he was only an unworthy vessel and all the glory was due to God. So as not to draw attention to himself and for the protection of his family, he does not plan to visit with any other individual about these events. However, he would like the know what transpired at the Capitol and how God performed miracles on that day.

[19] My Lord and my God. Bless Michael Stewart. Send Your angels upon him to bring him the consolation that You alone provide. Help him to heal from whomever or whatever it was, within our Church, that harmed him so severely and is causing him so much pain. Let him know Your love for him that he may turn to You in his fallen state and draw near to You and be saved. Let Your people, who may encounter Michael, Catholic and Christian alike, look upon him and see his pain. Make them take pity upon him and not show hatred towards him. Make them capable and willing to shower love upon him that he may come to know true Christian love. My soul and his soul are identical, Lord. You have made us in your image and You have given us life. I am so confused. How can it be that I am so blessed and he is so cursed. Do You not love us the same, Lord? I know that You do and I know that I am no more “worthy” of Your blessings than he. I thank you for blessing me and for showing me so much mercy! I have no choice, Lord, then to beg You to transfer so much of his pain to me in whatever way You may choose to manifest it. Make me strong to endure the pain, make me wise to understand that whatever the sacrifice, You are bringing Michael closer to You through it. Give me courage to accept whatever You decide and Grace to accept it joyfully. I cannot heal fully Lord until I know that his pain has been relieved and that his soul is on its way to eternal bliss with You. You made our paths cross for a reason, Lord. He is portrayed as such a villain while I am hailed as a hero, even a saint. We are so much the same! We are passionate. We are unafraid to do what we, in our human capacity, feel is right. Consider, Jesus, the glory it will bring, the miracles it will inspire, the lives it will cause to turn to You when Michael is healed of his pain and converts to a warrior for You! Through the intercession of Your Most Blessed Mother, with the help of Saint Michael and his army of angels, I beg of you to change both our lives, convert both our hearts, and pour out your mercy upon us both! I love you, Jesus my love. I regret that I have ever offended You. Grant that I may never offend You again and then use me as You desire. Amen.

[20] Lord, I am no hero. Please let people look upon and realize our real heroes:

Our priests, brothers, sisters, and religious who have dedicated their lives to Your service and to caring for Your flock.
The incredible young families who have such faith and trust in You. They fearlessly and joyfully bring so many new souls into the world. They selflessly sacrifice their lives to their children and to You, Lord, especially all those families who have endured what our world sees as tragic. They did not forsake You or abandon their loved ones in need. They heroically wake each day, ready to embrace the struggle and pain of caring for their disabled loved ones. They understand what a blessing these souls are to you and they sacrifice so much to bring joy and dignity to these special loved ones.
Those who desire a spouse or children but are unable to have them. They embrace their loneliness and their sadness and offer it selflessly to You, Lord. They accept their position in life and trust in Your Divine Plan for them.
Those living with their own disabilities, physical or mental or emotional brokenness. They do not curse You but praise You in their sufferings and offer so much for Your glory.

Let me learn from these real heroes to dedicate myself fully to You Lord, to love those around me more deeply. Help me to overcome my selfishness and to abandon any affinity I have for sinfulness. I claim to be willing to die for You, Lord yet I am so unwilling to live for You? Crush my foolish pride and humble me that I may seek to do Your will in all things, at all times. I love You, Jesus, my love. I regret ever offending You. Grant that I may never offend You again and then do with me as You desire!

[21] Thankfully, the Delgado daughter was not injured by Stewart’s trampling. However, law enforcement took a statement first of Delgado and then later of her husband.

[22] On April 3, 2025, a legislative leader questioned Lieutenant Walker about the fact that the Delgado daughter had been trampled by Stewart and asked if Walker planning on doing anything about it. Shockingly, Walker responded: “We are exploring possible charges of ‘child endangerment’ against the mother,” but nothing against Stewart.

[23] A note on the media here: with more than a dozen media inside the Rotunda, it appears that not a single media ran to the aid of the young, trampled Delgado daughter. Instead, they appeared worried only about Stewart.
